Meeting on Friday 5/15
We tallied the votes on our projects, and selected our top # to focus on. We will keep the others close at hand, and may add others to work on as we get more organized and aware of our resources and the demands for our main projects. The # projects we selected are;
- Petition and Letters to Congress are going to be combined into one project since they are similar
- then the YouTube commercial
We have planned to start the petition and letters at the beginning of the next school year until Christmas break. This will require some work this year and over the summer to prepare.
The YouTube project requires some creative brain power! Any one with ideas for themes, presentation or structure of the commercial is asked to step forward, in time for June. Also anyone able to help with equipment, such as cameras, please see one of the Club’s officers before the next Darfur meeting, which is written below.
For this year/summer we are definately (again) going to do the following events;
- bakesales during finals
- June 8th Fishawack
- Spring Cleaning yard sale
- Car Wash (with ASPIN)
- Farmer’s Market (through Fall)
